Magicard Card Printers are designed to be robust and hard working ensuring high quality output of rich text, dense colours and pin sharp resolution. Print Heads are guaranteed for 40,000 5 panel plastic cards. Our dye ribbons incorporate the newly Patented "Clean Pass™" technology, which cleans the Print Head as it prints, thus maximizing the life of the unit.

The new Magicard Rio is a simple to use, fast printing, high security colour printer, suitable for all single sided CR80 ID card applications and is whisper-quiet in operation.

Ease of use has been ensured by the Rio’s front access controls, drop-in dye film loading, open access card feeder and stacker, and the simplest ever T–card-cleaning system.

High-speed printing is facilitated by the Windows 2000/2003/XP software driver that offers on - screen printer status and extremely fast downloads via the built in parallel and USB interface ports. Using full colour five-panel (YMCKO) dye film, the RIO can download and print a full card image in less than 20 seconds, giving a true 180 cards per hour throughput – even when every card is unique.

Two year UltraCoverplus protection is provided free in the EEC and North America. This unrivalled plan provides free Print Head replacement, regardless of the cause of failure, and free loaner printer if required.

The Magicard Tango 2e Flip

The new Magicard Tango is a simple to use, fast printing, high security colour printer, suitable for all single sided CR80 ID card applications and is whisper - quiet in operation.

Ease of use has been ensured by the Tango’s front access controls, drop - in dye film loading, open access card feeder and stacker, and the simplest ever T – card-cleaning system.

The Windows 2000/2003/XP software driver that offer on - screen printer status and extremely fast downloads via the built in parallel and USB interface ports facilitate high-speed printing. Using full colour six- panel (YMCKOK) dye film, the Tango can download and print a double-sided card image in around 25 seconds, giving a true 140 cards per hour throughput – even when every card is unique.

The Magicard Avalon


The new Magicard Avalon M is a simple to use, entry level, high security colour printer, suitable for all single sided CR80  ID card applications and is whisper-quiet in operation.

Ease of use has been ensured by the Magicard Avalon M, including drop in dye film loading, 100 card hopper feeder and the simplest ever T – card-cleaning system.

The Magicard Avalon M using LC1/D full colour five-panel (YMCKO) dye film will print a full bleed image in 35 seconds and a LC3/D monochrome (Resin Black) image in 6 seconds. The Magicard Avalon M encodes and verifies (Tracks 1, 2 & 3) whilst printing a full colour card in around 40 seconds. This model also accepts the AV1 (YMCKO) 250 images per roll.

Two years limited warranty, included in the EEC and North America. The Print Head has a 40,000 full colour card replacement warranty, regardless of the cause of failure.

(NEW!) The Magicard Prima 3e (Uno + Duo) 2008+:

2008 has seen the release of the Magicard Prima 3e, the "Jewel in the Crown".

The Magicard Prima 3e prints on the reverse of a transparent PVC re-transfer film which is then laminated onto the face of a Card Thickness/Stock 0.25mm to 2.0mm (10mil to 80mil) / PVC, ABS, PET, PVH, and Polycarbonate ISO Standard CR80 sized cards.
This process protects the image from handling damage and produces a brilliant edge-to-edge image with superb registration and clarity. The quality of the finished card is similar to that achieved by the offset lithographic printing process, with the advantage that every card
can be different (variable Data).

The Magicard Prima 3e offers a myriad of options, including online Single and Double sided Lamination Stations.
USB 2.0 and Ethernet fitted as standard on all models.
Supplied with Windows 2000, XP and Vista compatible driver software.
Magstripe Encoder : Prima with HiCo/LoCo Magstripe encoder.

(NEW!) The Magicard Sicura Overlaminating Station:

The Magicard Sicura laminating station applies a tough clear polyester overlaminate onto PVC ID cards. The material is applied to the face of the printed PVC card using a heated roller system.
When used in-line with the Rio or Tango printer, the Sicura™ feed hopper is positioned inside the printer’s aperture, and printed cards drop straight into the Sicura™ feed hopper. When used with the Turbo series, the feed hopper is not needed.

The UltraShield™ polyester film is immensely tough, surviving several thousand swipes through a Magnetic stripe reader and many years of use in Driver’s license type applications. Compared to the basic clear acrylic overcoat which is applied by dye-sub printers directly from the dye ribbon, the UltraShield material is over 25 times thicker, made from a more robust polyester material. The standard UltraShield™ overlaminate film is clear, but films with special embedded hologram like OVD images are also available for enhanced security.
The Sicura™ output stacker will hold up to 100 laminated cards of .030” thickness, and the entire overlaminating path is clearly visible through the clear acrylic cover.
